A new family clothing brand, Bijoux, is set to launch in South Africa, following a ban on children’s clothes being sold on the black market.
In the last two years, South African retailers have been forced to ban Bijuches, which was launched in 2017 by family-owned company Bijugas, after being found to contain harmful ingredients.
Bijoux is currently available in eight major supermarkets, including Wal-Mart and Tesco, but its launch will be limited to only four stores in South Korea.
It’s set to be rolled out in all South Korean supermarkets by the end of June.
The ban has led to a drop in sales of Bijougas products.
“The Bijunas brand has achieved a remarkable success in South Korean markets, attracting more than 100,000 customers and attracting the attention of the world’s top fashion brands,” said Bijojas CEO Kwan-Jeong Yoon.
The company will launch a global range of Bija products from its new store in the Korean city of Gyeonggi.
A spokesperson for the Bijogas store said that they will be offering Bijuu’s products in the stores in order to promote Bijuks values.
